Join Rob Gould, Cotswold Forager for a foraging walk around the wonderful grounds and gardens of Rode Hall before heading back to make a wild-harvest inspired ferment with Emma Cronin of Wild Pickle.

About this event

This is shaping up to be a really exciting collaboration between Rob and Emma Cronin of Wild Pickle, set in the stunning grounds and gardens of Rode Hall.

Where do we begin to talk about what they have to offer between them?!

Rob has over 20 years of foraging experience and is pushing boundaries and creativity with both the culinary uses and fermentation of wild foods. You will join him as he takes you out and around Rode Hall grounds looking for edibles, through the stunning woodland, meadows, kitchen gardens and beyond. As this is running at the start of autumn we can hope to be finding berries, seeds and nuts, plus there will be a good chance we will also still encounter some of the last of the summer herbs and leafy greens, along with some last minute regrowth from some of them.

After your walk you will head back to the Rode Hall Kitchen Cafe, where we will have some tasty morsels for you to try, to hopefully give you plenty of inspiration for your fermentation session led by Emma.

Emma who has over 10 years of fermenting and is passionately keen on preserving our food this way, will guide you through a hands on fermentation session to create your own ferment with some added foraged ingredients gathered earlier in the session. At the end of your time with Rob and Emma, you will take away a jar of organic and foraged fermented goodies with you, plus some foraging and fermenting skills to make more!

We can't wait to share this experience with you!!

Duration: 3.5 hours

Price: £60 per person, purchased via Wild Pickle on Eventbrite.
