Forage with The Cotswold Cookery School @ Cotswold Water Park

  • Cotswold Water Park Cirencester, England, GL7 5TL United Kingdom (map)

Join me for a walk around the beautiful Cotswold Water Park, where we will explore a variety of different habitats, hunting for some of the tastiest, most underrated wild and seasonal delights, along with plenty of the more common finds.

After our foraging walk you will join Sarah and Mel from Cotswold Cookery School, where you will help put together a light lunch, incorporating some of the delicious wild foraged foods that we've found that morning, along with some the best local, seasonal produce. Depending on the weather and other factors, the lunch may be cooked and prepared on location, or you may travel back to Cotswold Cookery School HQ for your food.

You will help to make a range of foraging inspired drinks and dishes, before enjoying the fruits of your own handiwork. We also hope to help you make some festive gifts, potentially even some delicious Sloe Gin, either to treat your friends and family, or just yourself - but don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone *wink.

We will be running 2 separate sessions for this event, one from 9.30am-1.00pm, the other 11.30am till 3.00pm.

The Cotswold Cookery School is based in the beautiful village of Ashton Keynes,  which is situated on the edge of the Cotswold Water Park and a 10-minute drive from the market town of Cirencester. The business is run by Sarah, who trained at Leith's School of Food & Wine in London and Mel, a professional nutritionist.

They say “Food, to us, is health, family, friends and fun. Gathered around a table, we're all about feeding delicious dishes to our kids, best mates, loved ones, partners, colleagues and customers. Our classes are very hands on and we cook using quality, seasonal produce, sourced locally from artisan suppliers wherever possible. The recipes we use aren't complicated and don’t use pages of ingredients. They're tried and tested by our chefs and nutritionist to ensure they’re fail safe and easy to follow.”
